Based in Dunedin, Greg oversees operations across the city and surrounding areas, from the coast out to Hyde, stretching north to Waikouiti and south to Henley.
With a career spanning more than two decades in parks, horticulture, and property management, Greg brings deep expertise and a hands-on approach to every project. Starting as an Amenity Horticulture and Turf apprentice with Cambridge Borough Council, Greg went on to work with Ashburton District Council’s Parks and Sportsground team before moving north to Hamilton City Council. There, Greg progressed from the Hamilton Lake grounds team to supervising Amenity Parks and Hamilton Gardens.
After a period running a landscaping and gardening business, Greg returned to Hamilton City Council to lead the Parks Horticulture team, later stepping into the Parks and Property Manager role at South Waikato District Council. A move south followed, and for the past six and half years, Greg has been part of Whitestone, initially in Oamaru before taking on the current role in Dunedin.
What Greg enjoys most about the role is its variety and the opportunity to work closely with a dedicated team in Dunedin.
Outside of work, Greg is a keen sports enthusiast, now focused on supporting three sons in their sporting pursuits. Two of the boys have qualified for the BMX World Championships in Brisbane in 2026, and the family is working hard to help them represent New Zealand – while aiming to get the youngest qualified too.
Spare time is rare, but when it comes, it’s spent with family and working on the house.
