Based in Central Otago and Queenstown Lakes District, James oversees WCL operations across the region, delivering projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

James has 20 years experience in the civil construction industry, starting as a roading cadet in Invercargill straight out of secondary school. He holds a Diploma in Engineering (Civil), a NZ Diploma in Engineering (Civil – Applied), and a B Grade Quarry Management Certificate in Extractive Industries, giving him a broad and practical skillset.

What James enjoys the most is the variety of work in the Central Otago and Queenstown Lakes regions – building epic projects and working with great clients.

Outside of work, James enjoys restoring classic cars (notably a 1971 Ford Falcon V8 and a 1972 Datsun 1600), fishing, and most of all, exploring the region with his young family.
