Bruce Muldrew
Chief Executive Officer
Bruce Muldrew is based at our Head Office in Oamaru, where he works with the team to continuously improve the achievements of Whitestone Contracting.
Bruce started his working career in mechanical engineering with an engineering cadetship at Pukeuri Freezing Works Oamaru, before moving through various roles in engineering management in large scale processing plants and for companies supplying engineering solutions into processing plants globally.
More recently, Bruce led the growth of Foley Plumbers into one of the largest plumbing companies in New Zealand. This fitted well with Bruce’s passion of working with people and helping them develop and be successful in what they aspire to do.
One of Bruce’s beliefs is that it’s great to work hard and achieve success, but you need to have fun along the way.
Bruce has a neat personal connection to Oamaru and Whitestone Contracting where his Dad worked for Whitestone (formally the WCC Works Department) for 27 years. The house he grew up in was a WCC house where his Dad was the local grader driver for Lower Waitaki.
Outside of work, Bruce plays the bagpipes and enjoys strutting his stuff in a band. Bruce has 4 adult daughters who are often after help with their cars which he grizzles about but secretly enjoys.
