Based in Oamaru, Barbara supports WCL across all regions, bringing a diverse and practical background in human resources and operations. She has experience across industries including civil construction, logistics, mining, retail, and manufacturing, and is known for her calm approach and ability to get things done.
Barbara has supported teams of all sizes through recruitment, compliance, training, and systems improvements, holding a Graduate Diploma in HR Management and a Certificate in Supervisory Management.
Barbara enjoys WCL for the hands-on, varied nature of her role and the strong, supportive team culture. She finds it rewarding to contribute to a locally owned organisation making a real impact in the community, applying her skills in HR, training, health and safety, and systems to make a meaningful difference.
Outside of work, Barbara loves unwinding at the beach, enjoying wide open spaces, and getting creative with a bit of crafting.
